Corporate law firm A&L Goodbody (ALG) claimed four awards at the recent Insider Northern Ireland Dealmaker Awards, held at Belfast’s Europa Hotel. Now in their tenth year, the Dealmaker Awards recognise the leading professional advisory firms and funders in Northern Ireland and some of the best deals in which they were involved.
ALG Associate Catherine Irvine was named ‘Emerging Dealmaker of the Year’ for the “fundamental role she played in a wide range of deals, both local and international, ranging in value from £1m to £254m.”
The wider 23-strong Corporate team, meanwhile, was recognised for its role in a number of deals, including:

In January 2020 ALG was, for the sixth consecutive year, ranked by Experian as the leading legal advisor by value of total M&A deals transacted in Northern Ireland in 2019. The firm’s Belfast office was recognised as having advised on the most significant deals by value in Northern Ireland, having acted on over 45 transactions across 2019 with a combined deal value of £1.1billion.
