Progressive raises £5,000 at AGM for Action Cancer

Progressive Building Society has partnered with leading local cancer charity Action Cancer during Progressive Building Society’s 2023 AGM.

Established in 1973, Action Cancer aims to provide early detection, support, and prevention to over 25,000 people across Northern Ireland through a range of services including digital breast screening, M.O.T. health checks as well as support and therapeutic services.

The annual event saw Progressive Building Society donate £2 and 20p for each online vote and paper vote respectively that was registered for the Society’s 108th Annual General Meeting.

The partnership saw Progressive Building Society donate a total of £5,000 to Action Cancer.

All money raised for Action Cancer remains in Northern Ireland to support local people. Each year the charity aims to raise £4 million to support delivery of its vital service and relies on donations from the public and the local business community to deliver their life-saving and support services to local people.
